Older Adults
Caring for a loved one who has become frail or mentally unstable is
a difficult task for a single individual or family to undertake. Lifesteps
designed its Geriatric Adult Day Health Services to be a community-based,
supervised group program that provides health and social services to
help families keep their loved one independent and at home as long as
possible. The program is designed to improve the quality of life of individuals
with functional impairments, to provide a break for both caregivers and
individuals, and to provide a community-based alternative to institutional
care.
