Check - Developmental & Autism Screening
A
FREE SERVICE OF LIFESTEPS
for children ages birth to five years.
Screenings measure development in
playing, talking, seeing, hearing,
moving, thinking and social skills. Autism screenings available for infants and toddlers.
Your child is special to you. Sometimes
even the most concerned and loving parents are unaware of problems
their child may be experiencing.
Recognizing early warning signs of childhood problems
can improve your child's chances for a happy future. Problems children
are born
with or may acquire later on could interfere with their normal
growth and development. Many conditions can be corrected if parents recognize
the early warning signs and seek help.

Child Check is the first step in the Early Identification
for developmental concerns.

Offers public screening sites each month.

Visits Preschools and Child Care Centers as requested
by providers.
- Participates
in community outreach events involving families with young children.
Free Autism Screening
for toddlers age 18 months- 3years by request or referral. The American Academy of Pediatrics is urging early screening for Autism Spectrum Disorders.
