20th Annual "Batters Up Beaver County" Lifesteps Softball Tournament
Saturday, April 26, 2008 - Sunday, April 27, 2008
Bradys Run Park
Beaver County

On April 26 – 27, 2008, local league and corporate sponsored teams stepped to the plate at the 20th Annual “Batters up Beaver County” Lifesteps Softball Tournament. This double elimination, co-ed tournament, sponsored by WBVP Radio, was not only a great opportunity for team-building and fellowship among colleagues, clients and friends, but it netted over $5,800 to benefit the Lifesteps’ Family Caring Fund!

This year’s tournament featured a fundraising contest, awarding the top three fundraising teams; a Grand Slam Raffle featuring sports memorabilia and assorted certificates; music by The Bobcat; a prize wheel game; and event trophies for the first and second place teams.

Special thank you to the following groups, organizations and businesses for their efforts in making this tournament a success: Beaver Area Jaycees, Beaver County Commissioners, Beaver County United Co-Ed Softball League, Home Savings and Loan, Lifesteps’ Direct Care Professionals, Monaca Sons of Italy, Mountain State University, NOVA Chemicals, PGT Trucking, PLS Freight Solutions, Value Ambridge Properties and West AirComm Federal Credit Union.

Do you have what it takes to step to the plate and make a difference?
Now’s your chance! Mark your calendar for next year’s event, set for April 25 – 26, 2009.
