How We Are Funded Every year Lifesteps’ Board of Directors and Corporate Management Team examine the Agency’s programs and services to insure the vast majority of the organization’s funds are used on programs that directly impact the individuals and families we serve. Many of the programs and services described in this overview are not fully funded by government grants, contracts, etc. These programs are provided at a deficit. To continue these programs, Lifesteps raises the needed funds through special events such as our annual “Chip-In” Golf Classics, mail campaigns and other fundraising efforts. Regardless of whether the money comes from grants, contracts, program fees or individual donations, Lifesteps' goal is to put as many of those funds as possible to work helping individuals and families with life’s changing needs. As the charts below illustrate, less than two percent of of the money Lifesteps spends is for expenses that are not related directly to a program that serves individuals or families. By carefully managing its resources, Lifesteps has been able to expand its programs over time, thus increasing its impact on the community. |
