Rotary Club Presents Check To Lifesteps

The Rotary Club of Butler recently presented Lifesteps with a donation of $3,595 thanks to the sale of tickets for the 46th Annual Election Day Rotary Pancake Festival. Nearly 1300 people were served pancakes at the Vagabond Center in Lyndora on Tuesday, November 8, 2005. The Rotarians’ donation, in addition to the amount raised by the event, netted over a total of $7,300.

The Rotary Club of Butler hosts the all-day pancake festival each year on Election Day, serving up pancakes and sausages to the community while Lifesteps’ volunteers serve orange juice and coffee and help keep tables clean for incoming patrons.

The proceeds from the event benefit Lifesteps’ Family Caring Fund, which supports many programs and services for children and special needs adults. Lifesteps is a local, non-profit agency, which offers family-focused services in a caring, nurturing environment to western Pennsylvania communities.
