Early Care & Education Summit To Be May 5
Featuring Thomas F. Lamb, Jr., Sr. VP of PNC Financial Services Group

The Butler County Early Care & Education Council will present a very important educational summit titled “Making Good Choices For Our Children” on Friday, May 5, 2006, at the Butler Days Inn. The event, taking place from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., will cover the economic impact of early education on our county, the challenges facing businesses, educators, and early care and education providers; and develop an agenda for Butler County. Mr. Thomas F. Lamb, Jr., Senior Vice President of the PNC Financial Services Group, will be a featured guest speaker at this event.

Mr. Lamb is the Senior VP of Government Affairs for The PNC Financial Services Group. Lamb previously served as Manager of Corporate Relations for GE Capital, VP of Corporate and Public Affairs for PNC and staff director for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Labor as well as serving as the legislative director and assistant to the Honorable Austin J. Murphy of the U.S. House of Representatives. Among other volunteer positions, Lamb is a member of the board of directors of PA Partnerships for Children, the Invest in Kids Working Group, and the management committee of the Partnership for Quality Pre-Kindergarten.

The event is being hosted by C.W. Howard Insurance Agency and Karns City School District. Educators, legislators and local business individuals are encouraged to attend.
